Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus facing right, depicted from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the laurel wreath and layered drapery. A beaded border frames the design. The surrounding Greek legend names the emperor with his full imperial titulature.
