| Reverse description | Heracles depicted standing in full figure, facing left, in a contrapposto stance. The hero holds his characteristic club in his lowered right hand and the Nemean lion skin draped over his left arm. The figure is rendered nude save for the lion skin, in the Hellenistic tradition common to Bithynian civic bronzes. The Greek dedicatory legend is distributed around the periphery of the field, identifying the coin as a civic issue honoring the founder of Cius. |
