Obverse description Bare laureate head of the Emperor Domitian facing right, with finely rendered facial features and a laurel wreath crowning the head. The bust is draped, presented in the characteristic Flavian portraiture style. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, running along the outer border of the flan. The die work is consistent with provincial Bithynian coinage of the Domitianic period, struck on a broadly spread, irregular flan with a dotted border.
