Reverse description The nude figure of Hermes advancing briskly to the right, rendered in the classical Hellenistic tradition. The god carries a caduceus resting over his right shoulder and a chlamys billowing behind him in his extended left hand. The figure stands on a ground line at centre field, with the civic legend distributed around the periphery in Greek characters. The die-work is characteristic of the municipal bronze coinage of Prusias ad Hypium under the Antonine dynasty.
