| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Commodus facing right, with characteristic curly hair and short beard rendered in the Antonine portrait style. The emperor is depicted with a radiate laurel wreath, his features modeled in high relief typical of provincial bronze coinage. The Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust within a dotted border. A test cut or banker's mark is visible on the cheek of the portrait. |
