附加信息	Patras — officially refounded as Colonia Auge Achaica by Augustus after 14 BC — was among the earliest and most thoroughly Romanized colonies in Greece, and its civic bronze issues under the Antonines reflect that status with deliberate precision. The colony's coins consistently invoke its colonial identity through titulature, and this issue is no exception. Commodus ruled sole emperor from 180 AD, but his increasingly erratic self-deification in the late 180s — declaring himself the reincarnation of Hercules — had little apparent effect on colonial minting in Achaea, which continued producing civic types on its own schedule.
