| Obverse description | Radiate head of Emperor Commodus facing right, depicted with the characteristic spiky radiate crown. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The circumferential Greek legend reads ΑΥ Κ Μ ΚΟΜΜΟΔΟϹ ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy corrosion consistent with extended burial, rendering fine portrait details largely obscured. |
