| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of the Emperor Caracalla facing right, rendered in the typical provincial style of Bithynian workshops. The effigy displays the characteristic youthful physiognomy associated with Caracalla's earlier coinage. The peripheral Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ ΑΥΓΟΥϹΤΟϹ encircles the portrait in the field. The flan shows moderate wear with an olive-brown patina consistent with a heavily circulated provincial bronze. |
