| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Antoninus Pius, draped, facing right, portrayed with characteristic beard and mature imperial features. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-2nd century AD. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan is irregular, as is customary for hammered provincial bronzes of this period. |

| Reverse description | A lighted torch depicted upright at centre, with flames issuing from the top, rendered in a simple but clear provincial style. The torch shaft tapers toward the base and is shown in full view. The Greek ethnic legend of the city of Tium is distributed across the field on either side of the torch, identifying the issuing civic authority. The plain field and minimal design are characteristic of small Bithynian civic bronzes. |
