Reverse description Nude Poseidon, patron deity of Cyzicus, depicted standing facing left in a commanding pose, his right foot resting on a rocky promontory. In his extended right hand he holds a dolphin, and in his left hand a long trident rising vertically beside him. The figure is rendered in the classical tradition, with the peripheral legend encircling the type. The reversed zeta (Ζ) present in the obverse legend is replicated in the reverse inscription, identifying this as a consistent die variety. The composition emphasises the city's intimate maritime identity and its Neokorate status.
