| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and paludamentum-clad bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, seen from the front. The emperor's portrait displays the characteristic full beard and mature facial features associated with his reign. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters, identifying the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The workmanship is typical of provincial bronze coinage struck in the Conventus of Cyzicus during the mid-second century AD. |
