| 正面描述 | Laureate and radiate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, depicted with characteristic beard and strongly modelled features. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Cypriot issues, with the legend disposed around the portrait within a beaded border. The obverse inscription identifies the emperor by his full titulature in Greek characters. |

The Koinon of Cyprus — the provincial assembly representing the island's cities under Roman administration — held the rare privilege of issuing its own bronze coinage, a autonomy granted in recognition of Cyprus's status as a senatorial province governed without a standing legion. This particular issue dates to the co-regency period when Marcus Aurelius held the title Caesar under Antoninus Pius, before his own accession in 161.
Koinon bronzes from Cyprus are chronically underrepresented in major collections, partly because the island's archaeological record was disrupted by decades of restricted access following 1974.
