| 背面描述 | A tetrastyle temple with four columns raised on a podium approached by two steps, rendered in frontal perspective. Within the intercolumniation stands a cult statue facing right. A globe is depicted in the pediment of the temple. The reverse legend MVNICIPIVM STOBENSIVM is distributed around the periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing civic authority. The architectural rendering is typical of provincial Macedonian bronze coinage of the Flavian period. |

Stobi sat at the confluence of the Axios and Erigon rivers in Macedonia, making it one of the most strategically positioned towns in the Balkans. Vespasian elevated it to municipium status — likely between 69 and 79 AD — granting its inhabitants Latin rights and the administrative framework to issue civic bronze. This coin is a direct product of that grant: the town asserting its new legal identity in metal.
The municipium's coinage series is sparse, and the 77–78 issues fall within the final two years of Vespasian's reign.
