Reverse description The iconic cult statue of Apollo Didymeus depicted standing to the left, holding a stag in his extended right hand and a bow in his left hand, evoking the famous archaic xoanon enshrined at the Didymaion sanctuary near Miletus. In the field to the left of the deity stands a tripod, with a serpent coiling nearby, attributes closely associated with the Apolline cult. The encircling Greek legend names the Milesian civic community and records the name of the local magistrate Flavius Minnion, bearing the honorific epithet Philometor.
