(Translation: Emperor Caesar Gaius Messius Quintus Traianus Decius Augustus)
Reverse description Turreted and veiled Tyche, personification of the city of Rhesaena, seated left upon rocky ground, holding ears of corn in her extended hand. At her feet, the river god Chaboras is depicted swimming, representing the local river. Above the scene, an eagle is shown with a wreath in its beak, a common honorific motif in colonial civic coinage. Stars may appear in the left and right fields as additional decorative elements. The reverse legend, distributed around the type, records the Septimian colonial status of Rhesaena and its association with the Legio III Parthica.
