| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, depicted from a rear three-quarter perspective, conveying both military and imperial authority. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mesopotamian civic coinage of the Severan period. A partial Greek legend is visible along the periphery of the field, much of it obscured by wear and a poorly centred strike. The coin's surface shows the irregular flan typical of hammered provincial bronzes struck at Rhesaena. |
