Reverse description Hygieia, the goddess of health, stands facing right in long chiton and himation, extending her right hand to feed a large serpent coiling upward from her left arm toward the patera she holds. The figure is rendered in the characteristic provincial style, with the serpent prominently displayed as a central iconographic element. The dedicatory legend in Greek characters occupies the field around the figure, recording the dedication by the local magistrate Caecilius Rufinus on behalf of the community of Bruzus.
