| Beschrijving keerzijde | Nemesis standing left in full figure, her right hand plucking the folds of her chiton at the neckline in the characteristic apotropaic gesture, and her left hand holding a bridle or cubit-rule; at her feet to the left, a wheel, the emblematic attribute of divine retribution. The composition follows the standard provincial iconographic convention for Nemesis, goddess of righteous indignation and balance. The encircling legend ΑΜΟΡΙΑΝΩΝ in Greek identifies the issuing city of Amorium in Phrygia. The reverse field is heavily worn and encrusted, consistent with the overall preservation of the piece. |
