| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, rendered from a rear three-quarter perspective, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is presented in the characteristic provincial style of the Carian conventus, with bold relief modelling. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his full imperial titulature, running around the periphery of the flan. |
