| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta as Caesar to right, viewed from slightly behind, displaying elaborate curly hair rendered in deep relief. The paludamentum is visible at the shoulder, with the cuirass rendered with typical provincial workmanship. The circular legend surrounds the portrait in Greek characters, reading Π ϹΕΠΤΙ(Μ) ΓΕΤΑϹ ΚΑΙ. The flan is somewhat irregular, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |

Ganymede is shown nude, wearing a Phrygian cap and holding a pedum (shepherd's crook) in his right hand, carried aloft to the right. The scene illustrates the mythological rape of Ganymede, a subject particularly associated with the Troad region. The ethnic legend ΔΑΡΔΑΝΙΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing civic authority. |
