| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, portrayed in three-quarter rear view, with the radiate crown rendered in the provincial style. The imperial effigy displays paludamentum and cuirass, conveying military authority. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within the coin's border, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The die workmanship is consistent with Phrygian provincial coinage of the mid-third century AD, showing characteristic bold relief. The flan is irregular, as is typical of locally produced bronze issues from the Conventus of Synnada. |
