Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Otacilia Severa facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of the Galatian mint at Ancyra. The empress wears a stephane diadem and her hair is elaborately dressed, with locks visible at the nape of the neck. The drapery over the shoulder is rendered with visible folds, suggesting a paludamentum or chiton. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy in the field, partially legible on this worn specimen.
