Reverse description Asclepius, the god of medicine, stands facing at left with head turned to the right, leaning on his serpent-entwined staff (caduceus); opposite him stands Hygieia, goddess of health, facing left, extending a patera in her right hand from which a serpent feeds. The two deities face one another in a symmetrical divine composition typical of Bithynian civic bronze coinage. The ethnic legend ΠΡΟΥϹΑΕΩΝ is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing city of Prusa ad Olympum.
