| Reverse description | Athena standing left, helmeted and wearing a long chiton with aegis, extending her right hand to offer a patera and resting her left arm on a grounded shield beside her. The figure is rendered in the standard provincial die-cutting style of Phrygia. The encircling Greek legend, which names the local magistrate Flavius Sestylianus and the ethnic of the Stectorenoi, surrounds the central type. The coin was issued under the authority of the local magistrate ΦΛ ϹΗϹΤΥΛΙΑΝΟϹ (sic), whose name appears in the genitive in the legend. |
