Obverse description Laureate head of Marcus Aurelius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the truncation. The emperor's characteristic beard and curled hair are rendered in the naturalistic portrait style typical of Antonine provincial coinage. A partially legible Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan.

Reverse description Hygieia, goddess of health, standing left in long chiton, extending a patera in her right hand to feed a serpent coiling upward before her; an altar stands to the left in the field. The composition follows a standard Hellenistic votive type common to Achaean provincial bronze coinage. The ethnic legend of the Megarians is inscribed around the reverse field.
