Reverse description A river-god reclines to the left in the field, his mature bearded figure semi-draped and posed in the classical manner typical of provincial Mysian coinage. He holds a fish in his extended hand and rests his arm upon a tilted water-urn from which a stream flows. The ethnic legend of the Pionitai encircles the design within a dotted border.
