Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and piled atop the head in the fashionable style of the Antonine period. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek tradition, with the legend encircling the portrait in the field. The inscription ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ identifies the empress as Augusta.
