Obverse description Draped bust of Furia Sabinia Tranquillina facing right, wearing a diadem, rendered in the provincial portrait style characteristic of Mysian civic coinage under Gordian III. The effigy is presented with finely delineated drapery at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend names the empress in the accusative case, as was conventional for honorific provincial issues. The flan is slightly irregular, with the portrait centrally positioned within the field.
