| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Sabinia Tranquillina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, running from lower left to right along the coin's periphery. A beaded border frames the entire obverse field. |
