Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem, wearing a necklace visible at the décolletage. The empress is depicted with a paludamentum or draped garment over her left shoulder, rendered in a provincial style characteristic of Cappadocian civic coinage. A circular shield or medallion appears in the lower field before the bust. The Greek legend encircles the portrait within a beaded border.
