| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two agonistic prize crowns, each inscribed with the name of a sacred games festival, displayed side by side atop a decorated table with curved legs, a standard reverse type used by Aphrodisias to advertise the city's prestigious festival calendar. The crowns allude to the Capitolia and the Pythia, with further reference to the Oikoumenika, underscoring the city's role as a major centre of Greek athletic and cultural competition. The inscribed legend in Greek distributed across the field and exergual area names all four festivals and attributes them to the Aphrodisians. The reverse field shows the characteristic bold, slightly rough die-cutting style of the Aphrodisian civic mint. |
