Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the early third century AD. The emperor's youthful features are visible beneath a radiate laurel wreath, with drapery indicated at the truncation of the shoulder. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan.
