The emperor's portrait occupies the central field, rendered in moderate relief with visible paludamentum folds at the shoulder. A partially preserved Latin legend encircles the bust, reading clockwise from the upper left, with letters partially off-flan or worn. The style is characteristic of the Corinthian colonial mint, with a somewhat coarser execution than central imperial issues. |
