| Reverse description | A large eagle stands facing with wings fully spread, its head turned to the left and holding a wreath in its beak, a common reverse type on Cypriot provincial issues symbolising imperial power under the auspices of the Koinon. The bird occupies the majority of the reverse field, with tail feathers and talons rendered in low relief. The encircling Greek legend ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΚΥΠΡΙΩΝ appears around the periphery, distributed to left and right of the eagle. |
