| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Galatian civic coinage. The emperor's effigy occupies the majority of the obverse field, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated around the head. A Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery in dotted border, reading ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙ ΑΔΡΙ ΑΝΤωΝΕΙΝω ΕΥϹΕ, acclaiming him as Emperor Caesar Hadrian Antoninus Pius. The fabric is irregular and the die work reflects the local mint's characteristic provincial craftsmanship. |
