Reverse description Zeus Lydios depicted standing left in full figure, his weight distributed in a calm, frontal stance. In his outstretched right hand he holds an eagle, the bird of his divine authority, while his left hand grips a long vertical sceptre. The figure is rendered in the conventional provincial style of Asia Minor civic bronzes. The Greek legend ΦΙΛΟΠΑΠΠΟϹ ΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΕΥϹ, naming the local magistrate Philopappos as grammateus (secretary), is disposed around the periphery of the field within a dotted border.
