Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic-Roman provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The laureate wreath is clearly articulated around the head, with visible drapery at the shoulder truncation. A Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor in the genitive case. The portrait exhibits the realistic, somewhat aged physiognomy associated with Flavian imperial iconography. The flan is irregular and slightly worn, consistent with circulating provincial bronze coinage of the period.
