| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, with the emperor's characteristic broad features rendered in the provincial Greek style. The effigy is set within a circular field, surrounded by a Greek legend disposed around the periphery. The portrait displays the laureate wreath in detail, with ribbons visible at the nape, and presents the draped shoulder partially visible at the truncation. The style is consistent with the Ephesian civic mint's output under the Flavian dynasty. |

| Reverse description | Tetrastyle temple of Artemis Ephesia depicted in three-quarter architectural elevation, set on a stepped podium of three visible tiers. Within the intercolumniation, the archaic xoanon cult statue of Artemis stands frontally, flanked by her characteristic lateral supports. The pediment is surmounted by a central acroterion, and the entablature shows decorative detail between the columns. The Greek civic legend is distributed to the left and right of the temple in the field. The rendering closely echoes the famous Artemision sanctuary, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. |
