Reverse description The personification of Homonoia (Concord) seated to the left upon a throne, her figure rendered in flowing drapery. In her extended right hand she holds a patera, and in her left arm a cornucopia overflowing with fruits, symbolising abundance and civic harmony. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is distributed around the field, affirming the civic identity of the issuing city. The type reflects the standard Homonoia reverse commonly employed by Nicaea during the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus.
