| 背面描述 | Tyche seated left upon a throne, her head crowned with a prize crown (stephane), holding before her an agonistic prize crown from which two palm branches protrude, and cradling a cornucopia also surmounted by a prize crown in her other arm. The composition reflects the civic pride of Nicaea as a renowned centre of sacred games and competitions in Bithynia. The reverse legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is distributed around the field in Greek characters. The flan exhibits the same irregular shape and heavy patination as the obverse, with some surface corrosion and flan cracks affecting the detail. |
