| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays the characteristic military attire of a Roman emperor, with detailed rendering of the cuirass. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust, running from lower left to right around the periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the provincial style of Phrygian civic coinage from the mid-third century AD. |
