In his outstretched right hand he holds a laurel branch, while his left elbow rests upon a lyre placed behind him. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic artistic tradition common to the civic bronzes of western Asia Minor. The ethnic legend of the Magnetes at Sipylum is inscribed around the reverse field. |
