Reverse description Draped bust of the lunar deity Mên facing right, wearing the distinctive Phrygian cap and adorned with a crescent on the shoulders, as is customary in representations of this Anatolian god whose cult was widespread in the region of Bithynia and Pontus. The bust is rendered in the conventional provincial style, with the civic legend encircling the type along the periphery of the flan. The crescent attribute serves as the principal iconographic identifier of Mên in his syncretic Hellenized form.
