| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped bust of Julia Mamaea, mother of Severus Alexander, facing right, with elaborately coiffed hair arranged in waves and drawn up at the back in the dynastic style of the Severan period. The effigy is rendered in a provincial style typical of Pisidian civic coinage. The Greek legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ΜΑΜΕΑ ϹΕ (Julia Mamaea Augusta) is disposed around the bust, reading partially to the left and partially to the right in the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Etenna was a minor Pisidian hill town that punched above its weight in civic coinage during the Severan period, issuing bronzes jointly in the names of the emperor and his mother Julia Mamaea — who, by 235 AD, had effectively co-ruled the empire for over a decade. When Maximinus Thrax had both killed in March of that year, civic mints across the east scrambled to retire Severan-type dies, making late issues from small Pisidian centers like Etenna genuinely difficult to date with precision to before or after the assassination.
