| 裏面の説明 | Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, stands facing with head turned to the left, rendered in full figure in the provincial style. She holds ears of corn in her right hand and grasps a long sceptre in her left hand, her robes rendered with characteristic linear drapery. The encircling colonial legend is set within a beaded border, attesting to the civic pride of the Flavian colony of Deultum. |

Deultum — officially Colonia Flavia Pacis Deultensium — was a Roman veteran colony in Thrace, planted by Vespasian on the western shore of a coastal lake near the Black Sea. Its right to strike bronze provincial coinage was exercised sporadically, and the city's issues under Severus Alexander represent some of its more prolific output, likely tied to the administrative stability of his reign following the violent end of Elagabalus in 222.
The VI#706 reference places this within Varbanov's corpus, the primary cataloguing authority for Thracian provincial bronzes.
