| 背面描述 | Poseidon standing to left, his right foot resting upon the prow of a ship, his extended right hand holding a dolphin, and his left hand leaning upon a long trident set to the ground. The civic legend of Rabbath-Moba appears in the field, accompanied by the Greek era date ΡΔ (104, corresponding to 209-210 CE) distributed across the field. The composition follows the standard iconographic programme of maritime deities employed by Arabian provincial mints of the Severan era. |

Rabbath-Moba — ancient Areopolis, modern Rabba in Jordan — was a minor Nabataean center absorbed into the Roman province of Arabia Petraea when Trajan annexed the region in 106 AD. The city's civic coinage under Septimius Severus belongs to a brief florescence of local bronze issues across Arabian cities, likely stimulated by Severus's eastern campaigns and his particular attention to the region during the 190s and early 200s. The date ΡΔ in the era of the province corresponds to 209–210 AD, placing this coin in the final years of his reign before his death at York in 211.
