| Reverse description | A tetrastyle temple with a triangular pediment encloses the draped, veiled, and turreted Tyche of Nisibis, seated facing with attributes of civic fortune. Above her within the temple structure, a ram leaps to the right, symbolising the zodiacal sign of Aries associated with the city. In the exergue, a river god swims to the right, personifying the Mygdonios river on which Nisibis was situated. The reverse legend in Greek identifies the city as the metropolis and colony, arranged around the temple. |
