Reverse description Two prize wreaths displayed side by side in the central field, each enclosing an abbreviated festival name: ΧΡΥϹΑΝ (for the Chrysanthina games) in the left wreath and ΠΥΘΙΑ (for the Pythian games) in the right wreath. A horizontal dividing line separates the wreath group from the lower legend. The encircling inscription records the homonoia (concord) between Hierapolis and Sardis, both cities holding the title of neokoros (temple-warden). The design celebrates the civic and religious alliance between the two cities through their shared sacred games.
