Additional information

Otho's reign lasted 95 days. His coinage from Antioch is among the scarcest of any first-century imperial issue by simple virtue of that window — the Syrian mint had barely begun production before news of Bedriacum arrived and Otho took his own life in April 69 AD, ending what contemporaries described as a surprisingly dignified death for a man whose reputation had been anything but.
