Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus I Thrax facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter perspective, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays characteristic military dress with detailed armor rendering. The encircling Greek legend naming the emperor runs around the bust in the field.

Reverse description A hexastyle temple rendered in three-quarter perspective view to the right, with six fluted columns visible on a stepped stylobate and a triangular pediment above; a globe or orb is prominently displayed within the pediment.
